Endless Opportunities: Exploring the Cabana Shade Fabric Options

By August 2, 2018November 23rd, 2022No Comments

Commercial-grade cabanas are a valuable way to increase your appeal for guests at hotels, resorts, luxury apartments, waterparks, country clubs, and more.  Designing the right cabana shade for your property begins with choosing the design that best-suits your needs.  Then, it’s time to custom tailor the look to fit with your brand – it’s time to consider the fabric.

The Highest Quality Fabrics

At Resort Cabanas, we believe in using the highest quality fabrics to ensure the durability and long-term beauty of our commercial cabana shade products.  Our standard options come from brands including Sunbrella®, Firesist®, or Sattler®.  However, since we are a design-build manufacturer, we often work with our clients’ preferred bands to address their unique needs.

Sunbrella® and FIRESIST® are registered trademarks of Glen Raven, Inc. and carries a limited five (5) year manufacturer’s warranty.  Sattler® carries a limited ten (10) year manufacturer’s warranty.

The Wide Array of Color Choices

We’ve strategically chosen our vendors to give our clients a wide range of fabric color and design options.  Your cabana shade should reflect your brand’s personality and your property’s style.  Whether you choose solid or striped fabric, cabanas can be crafted blend into the surrounding landscape or stand out with bright pops of color.  The choice is yours.

The Grade of Your Cabana Shade Fabric

Oftentimes, we’re asked whether we use furniture-grade fabric for our cabanas.  While we can, we find that awning- and marine-grade fabrics provide superior protection, strength, and durability for outdoor cabanas.  Furniture-grade materials are primarily intended for use on patio furniture, such as cushions, pillows, and umbrellas.  Your design specialist can help you decide what’s right for you.

The Special Considerations

Different properties have different needs when it comes to issues relating to weather and fire.  It’s important to discuss these concerns with your design specialist to ensure you’re choosing the product that’s best-suited for your property.  Consider these 5 Questions to Ask Cabana Manufacturers Before Making a Purchase.

To make their fabrics water-repellant, Sunbrella®, Firesist®, and Sattler® add a water-resistant finish to the fabric.  Normal wear and maintenance will reduce the effectiveness of this treatment over time, but the fabric can easily be retreated with aftermarket products.

Designing cabanas that fit your style is important but making sure it addresses your fire safety needs is essential.  The FIRESIST® line of fabrics is inherently flame retardant, using leading technology to produce fibers that are engineered and formulated for their resistance to flame.
