When you choose a commercial cabana for your hotel or resort, you make a wise investment. While a cabana creates additional opportunities for guests to explore and enjoy your property and increases your hotel’s revenue, you do have things to consider, such as how to care for your cabanas so you can get the most from your investment.
Luckily enough, our commercial cabanas have minimal maintenance involved in order to keep them looking their best for many years. Here are three quick commercial cabana care tips for your hotel property or resort.
Just like you would any other type of textile such as curtains, your cabana will require some occasional light cleaning. To spot treat dirt and debris, you’ll want to leave the fabric on the frame, brush the loose dirt away and wash it off with a hose. Then you will create a cleaning solution with mild soap such as Ivory Snow, Dreft, or Woolite (no detergents). Using a brush with a soft bristle, clean off any dirt and debris. Allow the cleaning solution to soak into the fabric, rinse until all the soap residue is gone, and air dry.
If dirt and debris aren’t washed off regularly with light cleaning, there’s a chance that mold and mildew can appear on your cabana fabric. If this is the case, then you will have to do a deep clean. To get started, create a mixture using 1 cup of chlorine bleach, ¼ cup of mild soap and/or detergent, and one gallon of water. Use a brush with a soft bristle to clean, then allow the mixture to soak into the fabric for 15 minutes. Rinse until all the soap residue is gone, and air dry. Repeat if necessary.
Note: you will have to retreat the fabric for water and stain resistance. Use a fabric guard such as 303 High Tech Fabric Guard for the best results.
Monthly cleanings are an important part of keeping your cabana in top condition. Simply hose down your cabanas with cool or lukewarm water once a month. By removing any dirt and debris this way before they turn into stubborn stains, you will extend the amount of time between cleanings and reduce the need for deep cleanings as well.
